The Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA) on Jan. 6 held its second annual Virtual Advocacy Day. The event brought FICPA members together with lawmakers to advocate on behalf of the CPA profession in Florida.

The FICPA is pleased to announce its Florida CPA Summit. This year’s event will be held Nov. 8-10 at the Signature Grand in Davie, outside Fort Lauderdale. The conference will also stream select sessions online for those who wish to participate from home or the office.
“The future of accounting is bright with the acceptance of these 16 individuals into the FICPA Leadership Academy,” FICPA President & CEO Shelly Weir said.

A robust two-day agenda will highlight the latest accounting and finance issues in the world of health care, with a special focus on the continued impact of COVID-19 on the state’s vitally important health care sector.
