Seminars

Duration: 4–8 Hours / Format: In-Person and Live Stream

The Florida Institute offers a wide variety of seminars, ranging from four to eight hours that typically focus on a single topic, developed and presented by experts in the field.  Some of our outstanding vendors include FICPA-specific authors, AICPA, Surgent McCoy and K2.  Seminars are scheduled across the state and also available via live stream giving you the opportunity to attend where most convenient to where you live or work. 

Ethics For Florida

More than ever, professional advisors are scrutinized for their ethics and standards of care. The FICPA Ethics course safeguards things that are precious to you – your reputation and career. Our Ethics course enhances decision-making ability, raises the bar on ethical behavior and provides key standards for performance excellence.

Conferences

Duration: 1–2 Days / Format: In-Person and Live Stream

Join peers for top-notch conferences across Florida while learning from experts in all areas of the profession.  Conferences range from one to two days and cover a variety of topics.  Each year the FICPA schedules more than 15 conferences focusing on industries such as international tax, employee benefits, government, construction,  health care and more. Conferences are developed by a committee of your peers who strive to bring you the most current updates available from national and international speakers.

Shows

Duration: 3 or More Days / Format: In-Person and Live Stream

An FICPA show is a multi-day event that includes numerous CPE course tracks, networking opportunities, trade shows, exhibits, and more. The FICPA hosts two shows each year.


Mega CPE Conference – This three-day event brings you cutting-edge information and updates critical to your success. Be it employee benefits, state tax, technology, accounting and auditing or hot topics, MEGA features more than 50 sessions hosted by recognized thought leaders. Don't miss the keynote presentations which explore the state of the profession and the importance of diversity and inclusion.     

Chapter Events

Duration: 1–3 Hours / Format: In-Person

An FICPA chapter event offers the opportunity to network or earn CPE credits during a luncheon or happy hour. Events are held throughout the state, are hosted by one of 27 chapters, and are planned by your peers.

On-Site Customized Learning

Duration: 1–8 Hours / Format: In-Person

An On-Site Customized Training event is tailored to your organization’s needs and is held at your location. The FICPA has partnered with the American Institute of CPAs and other nationally recognized providers to address the ever-changing needs of professionals. Together the FICPA and our partners provide core educational competency in technical skills, strategic and business management, leadership development, communications skills and ethics training.

The Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
