Women’s Leadership
Recognizing Outstanding Women in the Accounting Profession
Women's Leadership Committee
The Women's Leadership Committee promotes the growth, advancement and recognition of women in the accounting and finance profession through professional development, mentoring and recognition through the Women to Watch awards.
The Committee objectives include:
- Develop, advance and recognize women CPAs.
- Develop and host the Women in Leadership Summit at Mega each June that provides practical information and enhances leadership skills for development and growth.
- Promote, administer and presents the FICPA Women to Watch Awards.
- Develop and enhance the website with resources that support women's initiatives.

Nominations for the FICPA’s prestigious Women to Watch Awards are being accepted through Feb. 28, 2026.
Since 2010, the Women to Watch Awards have recognized diverse, talented and outstanding female accountants who contribute to the accounting profession and demonstrate qualities that set them apart from others, including networking, sharing best practices, volunteering, mentoring, authoring and more.
Do you demonstrate a passion for your profession, or do you know someone who does? Are you a CPA and a member of both the FICPA and the AICPA? Consider nominating yourself or a colleague in one of two categories:
- Experienced Leader: Someone who has advanced to a higher level or leadership position within her profession. Titles include, but are not limited to, partner, executive, elected official or appointee.
- Emerging Leader: Someone who has been licensed less than 10 years but has made significant contributions to the profession and her community. They are typically business owners, sole proprietors and small firm principles.
The window for submitting nominations is now open through Feb. 28, 2026.
In addition to being recognized at the Women's Leadership Summit and MEGA breakfast on June 15, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Orlando Grand Cypress, Women to Watch Award recipients are featured on FICPA.org and receive recognition in the Florida CPA Today.
