2023 Women to Watch Award Winners

Marie Rosier
MMR CPA
Marie Rosier is the owner of MMR CPA and an expert in the areas of financial operations, financial reporting, and tax reduction strategies. She has dedicated her career to helping businesses develop the knowledge, processes, systems, and tools for success.
She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Florida A&M University and began her career in financial auditing at one of the top four public accounting firms. Her career spans several industries including healthcare, technology, and real estate.
A former adjunct professor, Marie is passionate about introducing young people to the accounting profession, currently serving as a trustee for the FICPA Scholarship Foundation and as a member of the AICPA’s Student Recruitment Committee.
She is also a past Chair and current Secretary of the North Dade-South Broward Chapter of the FICPA, where she leveraged data to better understand member needs and evolved programming to include more networking events, resulting in greater member engagement.
Marie is a graduate of the third class of the FICPA Emerging Leaders Program and was a recipient of “40 Under 40” CPAs, awarded by the inaugural Black Centennial Celebration Project, honoring Black CPAs who are influencing positive change in the CPA profession and their communities.

Elizabeth Jackson
RSM US
Elizabeth Jackson graduated from Florida State University with bachelor’s degrees in both Accounting and Finance and is currently employed at RSM serving as Transfer Pricing Manager in their International Tax Practice in Ft. Lauderdale.
In addition to her role as Transfer Pricing Manager, she currently serves as co-leader of RSM’s South Florida STAR (‘Stewardship and Teamwork for the Advancement and Retention of RSM’s Women’) employee network group. Where she supports and promotes the development of women through self-advocacy efforts.
She also engages in RSM’s recruitment activities to identify future leaders within the accounting, finance, and economics industries.
Elizabeth is an FICPA Leadership Academy Graduate, FICPA Horizon Award recipient, the 2023-24 Chair of the FICPA Young CPAs Committee, and has served as a speaker and panelist for both AICPA and FICPA events.
At a community level, she is actively involved in the United Way of Broward County, Broward Public Library Foundation, and the British American Business Council.

Started in 2010, the FICPA Women to Watch Awards were created to focus on the outstanding women who not only shape the Florida Institute of CPAs, but also the profession. The Women to Watch Awards were created by The American Institute of CPAs to recognize outstanding women in the accounting profession and are given in two categories:
Experienced Leaders: A woman who has advanced to a higher level or leadership position within her profession. Titles include, but are not limited to, partner, shareholder, owner, elected official or appointee, executive, etc. Characteristics include:
- Authorship of articles
- Major or unique contribution to the profession
- Public and/or community service
- Mentoring other professionals
- Improvement to the workplace
Emerging Leaders: A woman who has made significant contributions to the profession and her community, but who has not yet reached the highest levels of advancement. The candidate should be licensed less than 10 years as of July 1st of the current FICPA fiscal year. Typical roles include business owners, sole proprietors, and small firm principals. Characteristics include:
- Public and/or community service
- Demonstration of leadership
- Contribution to the profession
- Creation and implementation of unique initiative(s)
- Involvement with alma mater or other local colleges and universities
Nominees must be a CPA and a member of both the FICPA and the AICPA

Women's Leadership Committee
The Women's Leadership Committee promotes the growth, advancement and recognition of women in the accounting and finance profession through professional development, mentoring and recognition through the Women to Watch awards.
The Committee objectives include:
- Develop, advance, and recognize woman CPAs.
- Develop and host the Women in Leadership Summit at the FICPA Mega Conference that provides practical information and enhances leadership skills for development and growth.
- Promote, administer and presents the FICPA Women to Watch Awards.
- Develop and enhance the website with resources that support women initiatives.
