About The Instructor
Jim has a very diverse background within the healthcare industry, spanning nearly 35 years providing clinical care, strategic planning, operations management, strategic sales, and leadership. Jim is recognized as a strong strategic thinking, problem solver, and C-suite trusted advisor.Jim is a retired Principal from the DHG Healthcare National Strategy Consulting Practice and was responsible for the oversight of the DHG Healthcare Cleveland, Ohio office. During his retirement, Jim formed his own professional advisory firm, JAY Advisory Services, that focused on assisting his clients “Empower Smart Growth and Sustainability,” and is now part of Pinnacle Healthcare Consulting.
Jim has experience in all areas of healthcare strategy, physician alignment, operations improvement, merger and acquisition, physician practice planning, employed medical group development, AMC faculty practice planning, Radiology services optimization and hospital leadership. He has also spent time at Phillips Healthcare in an Enterprise Business Development role and at GE Healthcare where he was a Blackbelt in Six Sigma/LEAN and a Master Change Agent. Jim also has strong clinical skills from his time as a Registered Medical Technologist.
Jim received his Master of Science in Technical Education from The University of Akron and Bachelor of Science in Applied Science, Medical Technology from Youngstown State University.
