About The Instructor
Chris Oatis is a Managing Director in Grant Thornton's SALT practice and is based in Orlando. Chris joined Grant Thornton in 2005 and has more than 11 years of focus on state and local tax, with 14 years of experience in public accounting.Chris is a licensed CPA and a member of both the AICPA and the Florida institute of Certified Public Accountants, where he serves as the State Tax Section Vice Chair and State Conference Chair. He is also a member of the Florida Board of Pilot Commissioners, on which he serves as the Pilotage Rate Review Committee Vice Chair.
Chris has been a guest speaker at the COST Annual Meeting and the Vertex Exchange Conference. He is a graduate of the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in finance and a master's degree in taxation.
