A recovering auditor, Ralph Summerford became a forensic accountant long before forensic accounting was cool. In over twenty five years of teaching, investigating, and studying fraud, he has seen it all—from fabrication and sleight of hand to spoofs and flimflams. Ralph has worked directly with government law enforcement officials in very high profile cases. He has also worked with high profile law firms to investigate and defend individuals accused of fraud and misrepresentation. He will share insights on investigations and how frauds can discovered and prevented. Ralph's work led him to receive the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners most coveted recognition when he was selected from over 50,000 members as the 2010 recipient of the Donald B. Cressey Award. The Cressey Award is given annually by ACFE in recognition for a lifetime of achievement in the detection and deterrence of fraud.
