About The Instructor
Dawn Applebaum, Whistleblower Office - Claim Administration, Associate Director began her IRS career in 1985 with the Examination Division in Miami, Florida. She has held many positions within the various compliance functions including Internal Revenue Agent, Special Enforcement Agent, Tax Computation Specialist, Appeals Officer, and Supervisory Internal Revenue Agent leading teams in Small Business Self Employed (SBSE) and Large Business and International (LB&I). She was a Senior Program Analyst with the Whistleblower Office (WO) from September 2007 until June 2015. Before returning to the WO in March 2020 Dawn served as Team Manager, LB&I, leading a team of Internal Revenue Agents responsible for ensuring that US persons living abroad, Resident Aliens, and Non-Resident Aliens understand and comply with their US tax filing requirements.
