West Florida Chapter![]() Meeting NoticeMeeting Date: Speaker, Topic, and CPE Information: Course(s) subject to approval by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation Location: Time: Cost: Menu: Reservations: Elections for 2012-2013 Chapter BoardThe West Florida Chapter Nominating Committee has nominated the following officers for the 2012-2013 year. Elections will be held at the monthly meeting to be held on May 24th, 2012 at the Pensacola Civic Center. According to FICPA Policies and Procedures, Section VI (4), any one percent (1%) of Voting members of the Chapter may petition and submit supplemental nominations for Officers and/or Board of Directors, provided that such nominations be filed with the Secretary at least twenty days prior to the date of the election of officers. Notice of such supplemental nominations shall be provided by the Secretary to all Voting members at least ten days prior to the election of Officers and Board of Directors. June 15, 2012: 2012 West Florida Chapter Conference at the Pensacola Civic Center. 8 hours of CPE with more choices on courses, including additional courses on non-profit taxation, estate tax changes, and an update from the Florida DOR. Also, we are very excited that Dr. Harper will also present an update on the economic outlook for our area. We are Looking for Volunteers!The FICPA Governmental Affairs Department is looking for a Chapter Advocacy Liaison from our chapter. This is a voluntary position that would assist in building a network of legislative relationships, educating lawmakers about the professions issues and encouraging CPA's to become more politically engaged. FICPA Mission: We serve the diverse needs of our members; enhance their competency and professionalism; support professional standards; promote the value of our members and advocate on behalf of the profession. |
