Tally Woomer will explain that Traditional Medicare includes Part A (hospital) and Part B (medical), with optional Part D (prescription drug) coverage and the option to add a Medigap plan to reduce out-of-pocket costs. Medicare Advantage (Part C) is the alternative, commonly offered as HMO or managed care, combining Parts A, B, and usually D, and often includes extra benefits like dental, vision, and hearing. Traditional Medicare offers nationwide provider access and flexibility, while Medicare Advantage typically has lower premiums, an annual out-of-pocket cap, and requires use of in-network providers. Some Medicare Advantage plans may also require prior authorization and can change annually. We will not discuss any specific plans or make recommendations—this presentation is purely informational.
