Jacksonville Infusion is back!

Jacksonville Infusion brings together CPAs and business professionals for a full day of timely CPE, practical insights, and conversations around the issues shaping the profession and Northeast Florida. This year’s program will feature 7 hours of CPE covering audit, tax strategies, CPA practice growth, business and legal issues, charitable giving, Downtown Jacksonville’s economic outlook, and the state of the CPA profession. Attendees will hear from local and industry experts while gaining practical knowledge they can take back to their firms, organizations, and clients.

Jason Harrell, Chief External Affairs Officer, Florida Institute of CPAs

Jason Harrell

Jason Harrell is the FICPA Chief External Affairs Officer responsible for leading all aspects of the Institute’s public policy, advocacy, governmental affairs and regulatory affairs. He serves as the liaison to the DBPR and Board of Accountancy and is responsible for all advocacy-related external communications and campaigns to increase the value of the CPA license. Jason brings numerous years of experience to this role, previously serving as director of government relations for Florida Court Clerks and Comptrollers Association and budget and communications director for the Clerks of Court Operations Corporation, serving in key roles under two Speakers in the Florida House, and serving in the Executive Office of the Governor in the Office of Policy and Budget and Chief Inspector General’s Office.

Amy Kistka is an audit managing director at Deloitte & Touche LLP. Amy is the marketplace leader for the Jacksonville practice. 

Amy is a graduate of the University of North Florida, with a bachelor’s and master’s in Accounting.  

Amy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA). Amy currently serves on the Board of Directors as Chair-Elect and the State Legislative Policy Committee of the FICPA and serves on the AICPA Council. In addition, Amy serves on the Board of Directors of City Year Jacksonville and the Accounting Advisory Board at the University of North Florida. Amy was selected as a Women of Influence in 2018 by the Jacksonville Business Journal. 

Amy is mom to three sons and enjoys yoga and reading in her free time.

Laurie Lee

Laurie has practiced business law for over twenty years. She opened her own law firm, The Legal Department for Service Professionals, in 2015 after recognizing the need for experienced and quality legal counsel for small professional service firms and practices. Since then, Laurie and her team at the Legal Department have served over 400 small businesses in Florida and that number is rapidly growing. Her goal is to share knowledge and provide advice so that educated, licensed, regulated professionals can gain confidence in starting and running their own businesses.

Laurie is AV Preeminent Peer Rated by Martindale-Hubbell ® (highest possible rating) and is rated on AVVO® as Superb: 10 out of 10. She was honored as the 2021 Women Business Owner of the Year from the JAX Chamber Professional Women's Council, the 2019 SBA North Florida Woman Owned Business of the Year, and the 2018 and 2022 Regional Volunteer of the Year Award from America's Small Business Development Center.

Laurie is involved in her professional community as a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, past Chairman of the Fourth Judicial Circuit Attorney Grievance Review Committee, past Chairman of the Jacksonville Bar Corporate & Business Law Committee, and past vice-Chairman of the Jacksonville Bar Transactional Section and a member of the Florida Business Law Section.

In the business community, Laurie serves on the board of the North Florida Women Business Owners organization and the Jacksonville Women's Business Center. Previously, she served as the Chairman of the Advisory Council for the Small Business Development Center at UNF. Laurie gives back to the business community by offering legal workshops and webinars. She has conducted classes for Score, the SBDC, and most recently, she created a new course offering for the Jacksonville Women's Business Center called "Legal Matters".
