This session provides a clear, accessible introduction to blockchain and digital asset fundamentals, followed by a look at how major banks and financial institutions are already deploying this technology in practice today.

Attendees will explore how blockchain is transforming the accounting profession — not merely as another software tool, but as new infrastructure that redefines what professionals must understand and how they serve their clients. The session also draws an important distinction between AI, which enhances how accountants work, and blockchain, which changes what accountants must account for. Larry Liermann

Larry Liermann is Co-Founder and Head of Sales & Partnerships at MM Blockchain Academy, leading business development and partnerships with Higher Education Institutes, Enterprise Clients and CPA Associations.

He began working on Foreign Exchange and Fixed Sales & Trading desks of various Investment Banks including Barclays, Credit Suisse, and Deutsche Bank, where he covered North American and Latin American corporate and institutional clients.
