General Session
- Keynote Series: We are Shadow Ops - ReAlign, ReIgnite, ReSupply
Timothy Naddy, VP of Finance, The Savannah BananasTimothy Naddy
Wait…he’s a CPA?!? Oh, you better believe it…and then some ;-) An entrepreneur, college professor, financial professional and author (EDYM, available early 2026!), this guy’s looking to start another Renaissance! Simply, whether in the boardroom, classroom, or locker room, his passion is to help others make better decisions by translating tedious technical topics into tangible intelligence useful for personal and professional success. And if you thought THAT was a mouthful, check out his personal formula for success: (Big 4 + Private equity + Franchising + Internet startups + Fraud Examiner + CFO Consulting + 18.5“ Biceps) / (Humility + Faith + Family) = Accounting Badassery in motion. I mean, it’s just math, right?!? Living his personal mantra of Integrate, Educate, Elevate…and Entertain, Dr. Tim Naddy abhors complacency and doesn’t believe in settling for less because a good day consists of helping folks understand their value (and yes, you’re worth it). An alchemist of precision, professionalism, and panache, his secret sauce is using storytelling to mix all the things he loves…entertaining, speaking, writing, sumif functions, and jazz hands…into the wonderful world of Accounting and Phinance. Shadow Ops is his domain, but he ain’t shy of the spotlight either, so if you’re down to collab, he’s ready to rock n roll! Connect with him on LinkedIn and tune in to him on his Business Biceps & BS podcast (LI: Business Biceps & BS | IG: @bizbisnbs ) #cpaevolved #respectthegrind
We need a revolution. No, not a 'guns, germs, and steel' kind of uprising, but a revolution of thought in how we reposition our work habits to be more in line with our family values, not our budget targets. We're bringing the sexy back to Accounting by embracing the new workplace that rejuvenates us and our missions to serve our client (and ourselves) better in 2025.

General Session
- The Changing Landscape of M&A in the CPA Industry
Cindy Ragan, Owner/ CEO, Ragan & Associates, PACindy Ragan
Cindy Ragan is the founder and President of Ragan & Associates, P.A., a consulting firm that specializes in the mergers and acquisitions of accounting firms for the past 28 years. She has a
Masters Degree from George Washington University in International Economics and Finance and is certified as an Certified Valuation Analyst (AVA). She is also author of “The Complete Guide to Mergers & Acquisitions of CPA Firms”. Ms. Ragan worked as an Economist on Wall Street before relocating to South Florida to become an entrepreneur. She has founded and sold several businesses of her own over the past 30 years and has been a management consultant and business valuation analyst to the CPA industry for the past 28 years.
The mergers and acquisitions (M&A) landscape within the CPA industry has undergone a seismic shift in recent years, driven largely by the aggressive entrance of Private Equity (PE) investors. This influx of capital has created a competitive market with unprecedented valuations, transaction terms and opportunities for firms of all sizes. However, questions remain about the long-term viability of PE-backed deals, particularly around the successful transition of client relationships, staff integration, and sustainable growth. While many PE groups bring significant resources—such as advanced technology platforms, offshore talent, and centralized administrative support—their ability to preserve the personal, high-level partner relationships that define the profession is still uncertain.

Client Advisory Services (CAS) are no longer optional — they’re the future of the accounting profession. Yet, research shows the majority of client needs in this area are still going unmet. In this session, we’ll cut through the hype and look at the hard numbers: what clients are really asking for, the financial upside for firms that get CAS right, and the realistic time commitment required to launch and scale these services. Attendees will walk away with a clear understanding of how CAS can strengthen client relationships, create recurring revenue streams, and position their firm for long-term growth.

- Cybersecurity Series: The Weakest Link: Why Humans Still Break the Chain
Rebecca Santos, Shield IT Networks, Inc.Rebecca Santos
Rebecca Santos supports CPA firms in understanding and improving their cybersecurity posture through practical, easy-to-follow guidance. At Shield IT Networks, she serves as the bridge between firms and the technical team, walking professionals through assessment findings and helping them take the right steps to reduce risk and meet evolving compliance requirements. Over the past year, Rebecca has become a familiar face at FICPA events, where she continues to provide members with valuable resources, industry insights, and one-on-one support tailored to the unique cybersecurity challenges of the accounting industry.
As cybersecurity threats evolve, one thing hasn’t changed: human error remains the leading cause of data breaches, often resulting in financial loss, regulatory penalties, and reputational damage. While AI and advanced attacks are making headlines, it’s still the everyday missteps like clicking on phishing emails or skipping updates that put CPA firms at greatest risk. This session takes a practical look at how firm leaders can protect their clients, stay compliant with regulations like the FTC Safeguards Rule, and strengthen their cybersecurity posture through regular risk assessments, targeted staff training, and smart documentation practices. Attendees will walk away with actionable strategies to reduce risk, improve insurance readiness, and build a culture of security across their firm.
