Timothy Naddy, CFO, The Savannah Bananas

Timothy Naddy

Wait…he’s a CPA?!? Oh, you better believe it…and then some ;-) An entrepreneur, college professor, financial professional and author (EDYM, available early 2026!), this guy’s looking to start another Renaissance! Simply, whether in the boardroom, classroom, or locker room, his passion is to help others make better decisions by translating tedious technical topics into tangible intelligence useful for personal and professional success. And if you thought THAT was a mouthful, check out his personal formula for success: (Big 4 + Private equity + Franchising + Internet startups + Fraud Examiner + CFO Consulting + 18.5“ Biceps) / (Humility + Faith + Family) = Accounting Badassery in motion.  I mean, it’s just math, right?!? Living his personal mantra of Integrate, Educate, Elevate…and Entertain, Dr. Tim Naddy abhors complacency and doesn’t believe in settling for less because a good day consists of helping folks understand their value (and yes, you’re worth it). An alchemist of precision, professionalism, and panache, his secret sauce is using storytelling to mix all the things he loves…entertaining, speaking, writing, sumif functions, and jazz hands…into the wonderful world of Accounting and Phinance. Shadow Ops is his domain, but he ain’t shy of the spotlight either, so if you’re down to collab, he’s ready to rock n roll! Connect with him on LinkedIn and tune in to him on his Business Biceps & BS podcast (LI: Business Biceps & BS | IG: @bizbisnbs ) #cpaevolved #respectthegrind

We all know that familiar moment in finance when something just doesn’t quite add up, but when you bring it up it gets pushed aside… only to come back later as the “right answer.” This session Dr. Tim Naddy will walk attendees through how ideas actually move inside organizations, from early subtle signals to the eventual decision, and what that means for finance professionals. It’s not about being louder or getting credit; it’s about stepping into the conversation sooner, with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

This session explores what finance looks like when it is:

  • AI-native from the ground up
  • Integrated across functions
  • Compliant across markets
  • Backed by trusted payments infrastructure

The cost of staying disconnected is not just inefficiency—it’s the insight never uncovered and the decision never made.

- What Really Happens After a Cyber Breach: The Financial Fallout Inside FBI Investigations

Jonathan Trimble, CEO, Bawn

Jonathan Trimble

Jonathan Trimble is a former FBI cyber executive and co-founder of Bawn, a cybersecurity firm that helps CPA firms and financial professionals strengthen compliance and reduce cyber risk. During his career with the FBI, Jonathan led cyber and intelligence modernization initiatives and worked on investigations involving threats to sensitive financial and operational systems. In that role, he saw firsthand how preventable cyber incidents could disrupt—or even force the closure of—small and mid-sized businesses when basic safeguards were not in place.
Today, Jonathan focuses on helping CPAs and their clients translate complex cybersecurity and regulatory requirements into practical, defensible actions. His approach emphasizes simple, repeatable frameworks that align with how CPAs already think about risk, controls, and documentation. He regularly speaks to professional associations on topics including the FTC Safeguards Rule, IRS data security requirements, and how CPAs can play a more active role in guiding clients on cyber risk.

Cyber incidents are often approached as technical events; however, their most significant impacts are frequently financial, legal, and operational. Drawing on experience leading FBI cyber investigations, this session examines a real-world breach scenario from initial compromise through long-term resolution. Attendees will gain insight into how incidents unfold in practice and how associated costs and liabilities develop over time.

Topics will include:
  • How breaches are identified and factors that influence response timelines
  • Key actions and challenges in the first 72 hours following an incident
  • Legal, regulatory, and litigation considerations that may arise
  • Financial impacts related to business interruption, recovery, and reputational harm
  • Common areas where organizations underestimate exposure

This session is designed to provide CPAs with a practical understanding of how cyber incidents translate into financial and operational consequences, and how they can better support clients in assessing and managing related risks.
