Legislative Chapter visits are a grassroots effort to encourage chapters to become involved with FICPA’s governmental affairs programs. Chapter officers are asked to consider scheduling a legislative visit each fiscal year. This program is an effort to facilitate relationships between FICPA members and current legislators from their area. This legislative visit will help update members about legislative and regulatory issues currently affecting the profession in both Florida and on the national level.

Our Leaders Train Your Leaders Our nationally known education leaders have the reputation for being quality instructors and for being thought leaders in their area of expertise. Each instructor is available for various on-site training courses. Our education leaders are as follows:

The Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) is pleased to announce that Kristin Bivona began her one-year tenure as Chair on July 1, 2021.

The FICPA on Feb. 8 officially opened its new headquarters in Downtown Orlando. The ceremony marked the completion of the FICPA’s multi-year relocation to Orlando from Tallahassee. The 11,000-square-foot office will house more than 30 FICPA staff members.

A lifelong resident of the Orlando area, Jacobs now owns and operates her own firm, Tarsha R. Jacobs, CPA, PLLC, when she isn’t mentoring, or teaching test prep, or teaching yoga, or training for triathlons.

In this newly created role, Summerlin will lead a high-caliber team to create and implement strategies aimed at enhancing member value through a focus on sustainable growth.
