Kristin High joins FICPA as its new Chief Financial Officer

The Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) is proud to welcome Kristin High as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

“It is an honor to join the FICPA and to play an integral part in its executive leadership team during this period of transition and opportunity,” High said. “As a CPA myself, I am intimately familiar with the important role the FICPA plays in supporting its members and our profession. I look forward to working alongside our President & CEO, Shelly Weir, as we relocate to our new Orlando headquarters and chart a course for future success.”

In a 20-year career, High has served as a Principal at KKR & Co., a Controller (and previously an Accounting Manager) at CNL Financial Group, an Assistant Controller at GE Capital, and an Audit Senior at Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen. She comes to the FICPA after most recently working with CFO Strategic Partners. She received both her bachelor’s degree in accounting and MBA from the University of Central Florida.

"I am excited to welcome Kristin as part of our executive leadership team,” Weir said. “She brings a wealth of financial management knowledge to the table. As a CPA herself, she represents the best of what the profession has to offer. She will be a tremendous asset to our team."
