Sheri Fiske Schultz
Fiske & Company, a full-service accounting, financial forensics, and litigation consulting firm, announced its Managing Partner, Sheri Fiske Schultz, CPA/ABV/CFF, was recognized as an honoree in South Florida Business & Wealth’s 2022 Prestigious Women Awards. This year’s in-person awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
SFBW’s Prestigious Women Awards recognizes top South Florida business leaders who have created impressive business success stories and provided leadership to other women in the community.
“There is great satisfaction being recognized for doing what you love to do,” said Fiske Schultz. “We also love to spend time with other woman professionals mentoring our next generation of future business leaders.”
She earned the designation of Accredited in Business Valuation and is Certified in Financial Forensics and brings more than three decades of forensic accounting and litigation support expertise to the firm. She is also a frequent speaker at conventions, legal association events and frequently delivers continuing legal education (CLE) seminars at litigation law firms.
SFBW’s Prestigious Women Awards honorees are owners and partners, C-suite executives, entrepreneurs, innovators, mentors, professional association, and non-profit leaders, rising stars (under 40) and lifetime achievers. “People often ask ‘What makes up a Prestigious Woman?’” said Kimberly Sarni, managing director of SFBW. “Not just anyone can be put into that category. We get hundreds of nominations.”
Fiske & Company has offices in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties.
Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Company
Erica Pacetti
Erica Pacetti recently joined Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Company, P.A. (MNMW) as an Associate of the firm, providing litigation support and forensic accounting services in matters and disputes involving financial investigation and estimation of loss.
“We are so excited to welcome Erica to the team,” said Kelsey Griffin CPA, CFE partner at MNMW. “She brings a wonderful mix of experience and expertise with her; while she has only been with us a short time, she has already shown herself to be an asset to our team.”
Pacetti has a background in corporate taxation and is currently pursuing her CPA license. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida State University and has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida. Pacetti is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).
Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Company, P.A. is a public accounting and consulting firm with offices in both Fort Myers and Naples.
Moore Stephens Lovelace
Farlen Halikman
MSL, a regional certified public accounting and advisory services firm, recently announced that Farlen Halikman, CPA, CHFE has been appointed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to another term on the AICPA Health Care Expert Panel.
Halikman, a Shareholder in MSL’s healthcare practice group, has over 32 years of experience. He leads a best-of-class public accounting team preparing audits and reviews, financial reporting, and strategy development engagements for a variety of healthcare providers.
As part of the AICPA Health Care Expert Panel, Halikman is involved in the process of developing the accounting and auditing standards for the myriad issues impacting the healthcare industry. In an era of fast-paced change in the way healthcare is paid for, delivered and regulated, it’s a critical success factor for providers to have a trusted guide and a winning change management strategy.
“It’s humbling to be recognized by my peers as part of this very select group of only 13 CPAs, and to participate in drafting the AICPA Accounting and Audit Guide Health Care Entities, the Health Care Industry Technical Questions and Answers (Section 6400), and other industry-related publications. The health care industry is in constant change, and emerging accounting and auditing issues require thoughtful resolution. Being in the room where it all happens keeps me at the top of my game,” Halikman stated.
In connection with his role at the AICPA, Farlen recently participated with the Expert Panel in sorting through the accountability requirements of the Provider Relief Funds (PRF) and co-presented a series of national AICPA webinars to share best practices in reporting the use of PRF and the format of the PRF audits that providers will have to undergo this year.
