This course provides a detailed overview of the many ways an aircraft can be subject to sales and use tax, causing for a large assessment to be made against the aircraft owner. The course will also look at types of audits, differing treatment between resident and nonresident aircraft owners, and ways to reduce or eliminate a potential sales and use tax liability. Finally, the course covers the potential criminal or civil penalties involved against aircraft owners or practitioners.
