About The Instructor

Patrick Flynn opened Flynn Community Compliance LLC. in January of 2019 to assist community associations in dealing with some of the complex financial, election and access to records issues that they deal with on a day to day basis, along with turnover of control issues prior to and after turnover.

Prior to opening Flynn Community Compliance, Patrick worked for the Department of Business and Professional Regulation for over 30 years, 21 of which was with the Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes in the Compliance Section in the regulation of Community Associations.  He served as the Chief of Compliance, the Head of the Education Section, Supervisor over the Financial Investigation Section, and was an investigator.  He has an extensive background in providing education to unit owners, board members and CAM’s and has over 7 years’ experience in legislative bill analysis of amendments that effected Community Living Associations.          

He has been a speaker at the FICPA CIRA Conference for several years and at the University of Miami’s Annual Cluster Housing Law Conference. 

He has served as a subject matter expert on numerous panel discussions on Condominium, Cooperative and Timeshare topics and has drafted proposed amendments to Florida Statutes along with amendments to Florida Administrative Code.  

Patrick graduated from Tallahassee Community College with an AA degree in Business and from Florida State University with a BS degree in Management. He is a native Floridian and a Florida Licensed Private Investigator.
