About The Instructor

Tammy Miller is the Director of the Florida Department of Revenue’s office of Technical Assistance and Dispute Resolution (TADR). This office coordinates and supervises the preparation of administrative rules related to general tax and administrative matters; prepares analyses of proposed legislation impacting the taxes overseen by the Department; provides technical assistance to the public on general tax questions; and addresses informal protests of tax audits and refunds.
Tammy began her career with the Department of Revenue in 2002 as a Senior Attorney in TADR, a position she held for ten years. In 2012, Tammy accepted the position of Assistant General Counsel in the Department’s Office of the General Counsel. She subsequently returned to TADR in 2014 as Deputy Director and served in that role for six years, before being promoted to Director.
In addition to her 20 years of professional experience with the Department of Revenue, Tammy holds a Bachelor of Arts and law degree from Florida State University. She is also a member of the Florida Bar.
