About The Instructor

George Batalis is managing director of healthcare consulting with Katz, Sapper & Miller's Healthcare Resources Group. George has more than 20 years of healthcare industry experience in executive and leadership roles. He is experienced in driving growth strategy and deals across diversified healthcare delivery models and consulting practices. George's expertise includes creating and executing healthcare mergers and acquisitions strategy, developing payer/provider value-based and risk sharing arrangements, designing physician compensation models, and consulting on the strategic direction of financial and operational issues for a variety of healthcare specialties, with a commitment specifically to behavioral health.

Prior to joining the firm, George served as behavioral health business development and integration officer for a pharmacy benefit manager and care services group. In this role, he was responsible for operating and growing the behavioral healthcare delivery business both organically and through mergers and acquisitions. George has also previously served in leadership roles as the Florida healthcare market leader for a Big Four accounting firm and an executive leader for mergers and acquisitions at a national healthcare consulting company.
