Jeff Crudele is a healthcare industry veteran. In December 2019, Jeff retired as the Chief Financial Officer of the Allegheny Health Network (AHN) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he led a significant financial turnaround of the network. AHN is  the provider arm of one of the largest healthcare integrated delivery and financing  systems in the U.S. Jeff continues  to provide advisory services to AHN and to Highmark Health, AHN's parent company and operator of the third largest Blue Cross health plan in the U.S. Jeff now serves as President of JC Strategic Management Decisions, LLC. where the firm provides selected advisory services to the healthcare and investment banking communities.
 
Jeff's career spans over 30 years as a chief financial officer, chief executive officer and operations executive. His professional experience includes helping to shape some of the largest and most influential healthcare organizations in the U.S. Jeff spent much of his career with HCA Healthcare (HCA) with a total of twelve years in various executive level roles as he progressed through the organization. Jeff was the chief financial officer of HCA's Eastern Group which encompassed $11 billion in revenue at the time and over ninety hospitals or about half of the company's facilities and was a named officer of the public company. HCA is the largest operator of hospitals in the United States.
 
Jeff also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for the Jackson Health System, one of the largest public health systems in the U.S. There, he led the development of their comprehensive strategic plan and contributed to one of the largest public hospital turnarounds in U.S. history. Jeff has various experience with healthcare firms owned by private equity. He served as CFO for LaVie which was one of the largest privately held long term care companies in the U.S., and at the time operated 121 facilities in 17 states. There he helped to position the company for sale to Formation Capital on behalf of several private equity firms that included Warburg Pincus.
 
Jeff has held senior level positions at other well renowned health systems including Chief Financial Officer for the Memorial Healthcare System in South Florida and Chief Financial Officer for Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia. Jeff spent the first eight years of his career at Ernst & Young, where he coordinated audit and consulting services for a myriad of organizations. Jeff has also been a successful entrepreneur founding Hospital Data Solutions where he and his firm provided strategic advisory services to the healthcare industry and the development of a software as a service SaaS product that formed the core of the company's benchmark offering. Jeff is one of a handful of executives in the country that has held senior roles at major for-profit (both publicly traded and held by private equity), tax-exempt and governmental healthcare institutions. These diverse experiences afford him a rare perspective on the culture and organization of our nation's largest health services providers.
 
Jeff holds a BBA from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in Boca Raton and he was the 2014 Distinguished Alumnus for the FAU College of Business. In 2017, Jeff was named as a CFO of the year in Pittsburgh by the Pittsburgh Business Times. Jeff also serves as a board member on the Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation, a non-profit board committed to accelerating the development of responsible leaders.
