About The Instructor

Daniel J. O'Keefe, CPA, MBA is the Shareholder-in-Charge of the MSL's Central Florida office. He serves on the board of directors and is the corporate secretary for the Firm. He has over 35 years of public accounting, governmental and not-for-profit experience. He has provided services to numerous municipalities, counties and other governmental entities, and is nationally recognized in the area of governmental auditing. He is one of the most sought-after public sector instructors in Florida.
Dan has extensive experience auditing governmental and nonprofit agency financial operations including services provided to over 50 municipalities, 14 counties, four state agencies, and numerous special districts and authorities. In addition, he provides consulting services in the areas of internal control assessments, litigation support, fraud remediation and performance reviews.
He provides continuing professional education (CPE) services to clients, peers and governmental agencies nationwide. He has authored numerous CPE courses on governmental accounting and auditing, delivered CPE sponsored by the American Institute of CPAs and the Florida Institute of CPAs, and previously served a four-year term on the Florida Board of Accountancy CPE Committee.
