Earning his Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Vanderbilt University, he went on to earn a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Tulane University.

Most recently, Glidewell served as the Chief Executive Officer of Broward Health Medical Center & Chris Evert Children’s 716-bed Hospital, the largest hospital of Broward Health’s $1.1 billion fully integrated system. In his CEO role, he led a major cultural transformation increasing physician satisfaction scores (35th percentile to 90th percentile in 24 months), patient experience scores (all domains below 15th percentile to 4 of 8 domains above 50th percentile and 2 above the 75th percentile), and in less than 36 months, improved

Received Press-Ganey’s 2013 Commitment to Excellence Award, given to one large hospital in the nation demonstrating the most improvement in core measures and clinical quality initiatives; received the Guardian of Excellence Award in 2014, demonstrating multi-year commitment to the highest quality standards; also recognized as the only hospital in Broward County receiving no CMS readmission penalty in 2013.

Prior to Glidewell’s CEO role at Broward Health Medical Center, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Broward Health’s 204-bed Imperial Point Medical Center. He secured Board approval and managed development and construction of an $18 million Emergency Department addition to the hospital and a 68,000 square foot Medical Arts Pavilion with a hospital-based Ambulatory Surgery Center. Even with double digit volume increases, Glidewell maintained HCAHPS patient satisfaction scores which ranked among the highest in the county and was able to attained top 10% status in core measures outcomes.
