About The Instructor

Chuck Divita is executive vice president for commercial markets at Florida Blue and its parent company GuideWell and serves as a member of the organization's executive management team. He is responsible for oversight and coordination of all commercial health insurance business in addition to leading the organization's brand and marketing functions. 

Prior to this role, Divita served as the organization's chief financial officer, where he had overall responsibility for the financial areas of the company including: accounting, actuarial, corporate tax, corporate planning, procurement, mergers and acquisitions, treasury and the investment operations. 

Prior to joining Florida Blue in 2011, Divita was chief financial officer for FPIC Insurance Group, Inc., a publicly traded property and casualty insurance company and leading writer of medical professional liability insurance in Florida and other markets. He also served as president and CEO of Employers Mutual, Inc., a third-party administrator of self-funded insurance arrangements and held various management positions with Prudential Financial, Inc. Divita began his career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen, LLP.

Throughout his career, Divita has been active in community and professional organizations. He currently serves on the boards of Availity as the chair, Prime Therapeutics, GuideWell-Sanitas and Vim. Divita is also the chairperson for the 2022 First Coast Heart Ball executive cabinet. He previously served on the board for Life & Specialty Ventures, Florida Chamber of Commerce, Dean's Council for the University of North Florida's College of Health, Teach for America and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Jacksonville.
Divita holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both finance and accounting from Florida State University. He is a certified public accountant and member of the Florida Institute of CPA's.
