About The Instructor

Dr. Roger Roemmich is a former professor of accounting, and a licensed financial advisor. He is the founder and CEO of the Retirement Cash Flow Education Group. He established RCF in 2013 to get the word out on the importance of retirement cash flow planning and management for those who are still working, and for those who are already retired. Roger speaks on the national lecture circuit, appears on television and radio, and is the author of the acclaimed Don't Eat Dog Food When You're Old!

Dr. Roger Roemmich, founder of Retirement Cash Flow Education Group, is a certified public accountant, a certified financial planner with FINRA Series 7, 31, 63, and 65 licenses, and a certified long-term care professional. He is also licensed to sell a variety of insurance and annuity products. 

Roger began his career in finance more than 40 years ago, earning his doctorate in accounting from Michigan State University and going on to thrive in a variety of positions within academia and in the corporate sector. On the academic front, Roger served as a tenured professor on the faculty in the School of Accounting at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, where he imparted the knowledge his students needed to perform at their best in the world of numbers, specifically as CPAs. He held the position for 10 years. 

In 1984, the University of Georgia chose Roger as the financial advisor charged with the responsibility to assist employees of the university with exit planning in preparation for retirement. He conducted these seminars until 2008. In addition, Roger's strong commitment to education continued as he conducted CPE through Federal Tax Workshops in 20 states and provided CPE for the Georgia Society of CPAs. The Retirement Cash Flow Education Group presently offers CPE, seminars, and webinars for financial professionals and individual investors on issues ranging from wealth management, retirement planning, tax laws and tax liability reduction, Social Security, Medicare, and reverse mortgages. 

On the corporate side of his career in finance, Roger worked for Cannon Financial Institute as an executive vice president. In that capacity, he developed and led training programs for financial services companies designed to maximize advisor proficiency when planning accounting, tax, and investment strategies for clients. He also participated extensively in presenting speeches and seminars for financial professionals. Cannon Financial Institute was and still is recognized as one of the leading global consulting and professional development firms serving the financial services industry. 

Roger founded the Certified Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS) Program, which later merged with the AIB retirement specialist certification program, and he is one of three founding members of the Life Insurance Advisors Association. Recognized as a dynamic speaker, Roger has given keynote addresses before the National Association of Accountants, the Institute of Certified Financial Planners, and the Retirement Specialist annual conference.
