About The Instructor
Carlos is a Manager II in Kaufman Rossin's tax practice. Carlos joined the firm in 2015 and has been specializing in state and local taxes since 2017. He assists clients with state and local tax returns compliance,voluntary disclosure agreement applications, nexus studies, audit responses, and tax exposure calculationsHe has spoken on state taxes for the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and provided many trainings on the basic concepts of state and local taxation to newly hired staff at Kaufman Rossin.
Carlos is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Within the Florida Institute of Public Accountants, Carlos is a member of the State Tax Committee and the Young CPA Committee.
He obtained his Certified Public Accountant license in 2016 and earned his master's degree in Accountancy from Florida International University in 2015. Carlos also has a bachelor's degree in accounting and business management from Florida State University.
