About The Instructor
Adam is a Managing Director in Grant Thornton LLP's Tax Digital Consulting Business Line. He focuses his practice on the group's Enterprise Tax Automation (indirect) and Data Transformation and Analytics solutions. He brings with him over seventeen years of experience in the public accounting arena, having served companies across numerous technology solutions related to multi-state and multi-national tax matters, including sales and use tax, value added tax, income and franchise tax, and property tax.
He also served a secondment working with our value added tax and technology team in London.
Adam has extensive experience with complex indirect tax engine integrations and configurations. Furthermore, he has years of experience designing and implementing solutions related to the aggregating, sanitizing, normalizing, and visually presenting tax data. He also has vast experience with indirect tax controversy, compliance review, planning, structuring, audit defense, refund reviews, and mergers and acquisition indirect tax considerations. With his broad global tax experience, Adam also advises on tax function process reviews and improvement.Adam is a frequent speaker at educational and professional association seminars and has presented at the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, Tax Executives Institute, Florida State University, the University of South Florida, the Florida Bar, FICPA, and the West Coast chapter of the FICPA.
Adam has worked within a wide variety of industries, including technology, finance, healthcare/insurance, manufacturing, retail/wholesale, mining, and hospitality.
