About The Instructor

Tarsha Jacobs is the owner of Tarsha R. Jacobs, CPA, PLLC.  After working for local CPA firms in Central Florida for 15 years, she began her own practice in 2013. Tarsha Jacobs, CPA has more than 20 years of experience including 15 years in public accounting where she provided services for clients in a range of industries including charter schools, construction, healthcare, manufacturing, not-for-profit, professional services and retail.  

Tarsha is a proud member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, where she has served on numerous committees including, Chapter Operations, Accounting Careers (past-chair), Special Projects and Management of an Accounting Practice.  Tarsha has served on the Board of Governors for five years, including four years as the Regional Representative for Region 4.  She is Past-President for the Central Florida Chapter and currently serves as the Chair of the Financial Literacy Committee.  She is also a member and past-chair of the FICPA Women's Leadership Committee and the Greater Orlando Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants.  

Tarsha lives in Orlando with her husband of 22 years, Michael Jacobs and has two amazing sons, Cameron and Michael Jr.  Tarsha is an avid runner, completing 10 marathons in the past two years and currently training for her first full marathon.  She volunteers her time as the co-leader of the women's ministry at her church, helping to feed families at the Ronald McDonald House and Coalition for the Homeless centers in Central Florida, assisting with fundraising for the Women's Residential and Counseling Center and serves as a mentor to teenagers and young CPAs.
