On behalf of myself and the Committee I would like to personally invite you to the 2019 Florida Gulf Coast University Accounting and Tax Conference. To our frequent attendees, thank you for your advice and input to help the Committee make this a great conference.
 
We believe we have put together a timely and informative educational program that will prepare you for 2020 and the issues that that can be expect to affect your practice or business. The A&A topics will include work paper documentation issues, a FASB update by a member of the FASB, Fraud detection, Peer review, Fiduciary Accounting and CIRA. Timely TB topics will include a Section 199A discussion by Alan Gassman, Block Chain, succession planning, opportunity zones and a double dose of sales tax from both James Sutton and Joe Moffa that will include a discussion of current construction sales tax issues, the latest on Wayfair, its fallout and other nexus rules.

For those familiar with the conference, it will be even better than the 2018 program and those who are not we hope you consider what we believe is one of the very best CPE programs provided by the FICPA.

This presentation will discuss current fraud trends/investigations, including an in depth review of Business E-mail Compromise (BEC) fraud, which is a new cyber-related fraud that is increasingly becoming a more common and significant threat. The presentation will also discuss ways to prevent BEC and what to do if you or your clients are a victim of the fraud.

In this seminar, Gary and Brian explain the U.S. tax impact of creating, funding and operating both U.S. and foreign trusts.
