Thomas Howell Ferguson P.A. CPAs, a professional accounting, assurance, and tax services firm, headquartered in Tallahassee, welcomes Ben A. (Steve) Stevens to the assurance services department.

Steve, a Pensacola native, attended Florida State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in both accounting and a bachelor’s degree in finance. Steve has over 28 years of work experience, 13 of which have been in public accounting. Steve is a licensed CPA and will serve as a Director in the assurance services department in the Tallahassee office. His responsibilities will include managing and directing staff, performing audit engagements, operational reviews, Medicaid audits, and various consulting projects to a variety of industries with a primary focus on government.

Steve is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) where he previously served on the Governing Council. Steve is also a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and served as the President from 2008 to 2009. Throughout his career he has also been involved in the FICPA Executive Committee, the Finance Office and Advisory, the Political Action Committee, the Government Standards Review Committee, the Chapter Operations Committee, and the Membership Committee.
