The CARES Act - PAYCHECK PROTECTION PROGRAM (PPP)


The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act will allow banks to lend directly to business through the PPP.  The loans are backed by the federal government through the Small Business Administration. (SBA) and are designed to help businesses keep their workforce employed during COVID-19 crisis. Lenders began processing applications April 3, 2020. The PPP program will be available through June 30, 2020.
