2024 Women to Watch Awards

Are you a woman to watch? Do you know someone who deserves to be recognized for her achievements and contributions to the accounting profession? 

The Women to Watch Awards were created by the AICPA and are an opportunity for the FICPA to recognize outstanding women in accounting. Awards will be given in two categories:

  • Experienced Leaders: A woman who has advanced to a higher level or leadership position within her profession. Titles include, but are not limited to, partner, owner, elected official or appointee, executive, etc.

 

  • Emerging Leaders: A woman who has made significant contributions to the profession and her community, but who has not yet reached the highest levels of advancement.  The candidate should be licensed less than 10 years as of July 1st of the current FICPA fiscal year.  The typical roles include business owners, sole proprietors, and small firm principles.  

 

Nominations for the 2024 Women to Watch Awards are closed.

The 2024 awards will be presented during the Women's Leadership Summit at the Mega CPE Conference taking place at the the Lowes Sapphire Falls Hotel - Orlando. 

Nominees must be a CPA and a member of both the FICPA and the AICPA.

A list of additional eligibility standards are listed below. A minimum of two criteria is required for consideration; however, please provide as much information for each criteria as possible.

Experienced Leaders:

  1. Authorship of articles
  2. Major or unique contribution to the profession
  3. Public and/or community service
  4. Mentoring other professionals
  5. Improvement to the workplace

 

Emerging Leaders:
  1. Public and/or community service
  2. Demonstration of leadership
  3. Contribution to the profession
  4. Creation and implementation of unique initiative(s)
  5. Involvement with alma mater or other local colleges and universities

 


Women to Watch Nomination Checklist

When submitting a nomination, please provide supporting documentation as evidence of accomplishments. This may include letters of recommendation from supervisors, peers, students, community organizations, etc.

Please include:

  1. Nominee’s resume
  2. Letters of recommendation
  3. Articles published by the nominee
  4. High-resolution photo of nominee

Note: Submission should not exceed a 15-page maximum (16 including the nomination form).


How to Submit a Nomination

 
Step 1

Download and complete the Women to Watch Award Nomination Form. This will be the first page in your packet for submission.

 

Step 2

Email the completed Nomination Form along with any supporting documents for the person you are nominating to us by clicking here. Total submission packet should not exceed 16 pages.

 

Step 3

Repeat step 1 and 2 for each person you wish to nominate.
