The Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation Secretary, Ken Lawson, and the Florida Institute of CPAs CEO-Executive Director, Deborah Curry, are joining forces to get the word out about unlicensed accountants claiming to be a Florida CPA.

You worked hard for your license and continue your education and efforts every year to keep that license. Not only is working without a license illegal, it hurts the reputation of the profession and your business' bottom line.

The DBPR and the FICPA are working together and running an Unlicensed Activity Campaign (ULA). Since the campaign began in January 2012, it has included billboard and radio advertisements as well as online components like website banners and Facebook and Twitter posts to get the discussion active.
