Mission Statement: The Central Community Redevelopment Agency (CCRA) is a redevelopment district of the City of Bradenton, created on July 12, 2000 under the authority of sections 163.330-163.45 of the Florida Statutes. Funded by Tax Increment Financing (TIF), the CCRA is a special taxing district of the City of Bradenton, and is charged with the redevelopment of an area that has been designated as neglected and blighted. The agency motto of “Transforming a Community - Transforming Lives” summarizes the philosophy that guides the programs and projects of the CCRA. The CCRA is committed to the empowerment of the residents of central Bradenton, recognizing that the elimination of blight must be accompanied by improved access to resources, and increased opportunities for housing, employment, and business ownership. As a result, the CCRA embraces a comprehensive approach to redevelopment that is driven by this philosophy.
