Mission Statement: Communities In Schools of Jacksonville champions the connection of needed community resources with schools to help young people successfully learn, stay in school, and prepare for life. Communities In Schools of Jacksonville is the premier provider of in-school dropout prevention services in Jacksonville. We are the largest Florida affiliate of the national Communities In Schools network. This network is the largest private non-profit dropout prevention network in the country and has been recognized by Worth magazine as one of the top 100 organizations “most likely to save the world.” Our vision is to open windows of opportunity for all “at-risk” students who could benefit from Communities In Schools services. We currently reach over 6,600 students through our various services, and our vision is to reach all of the estimated 50,000 students eligible for our programs in the Jacksonville and Duval County areas.
