The Emerald Coast CPE Retreat is our newest event and is a collaboration between the Florida Institute of CPAs and the Alabama Society of CPAs. Earn up to 8 credit hours and network with CPAs from Florida and Alabama all while taking in a majestic view of the world-renowned sugar sands and glistening waves. Whether you are planning a getaway to the beach this summer or are a Florida local, the Emerald Coast CPE Retreat is your chance to relax and learn in style.

Michael Brand has been named the 2013/14 recipient of the Alabama Society's Thomas A. Ratcliffe Outstanding Discussion Leader award.  He is a partner in Athens-based firm of Johnson, Feigley Newton & Brand and teaches nationally for the AICPA and has earned their Outstanding Discussion Leader award for the last two years.

Another speaker at the retreat, Gordon Spoor, CPA, PFS, CGMA, managing shareholder of Spoor & Associates, PA, currently serving as chair of the AICPA Fiduciary Accounting Task Force, and a member of the AICPA Tax Executive Committee, has won the 2013/14 FICPA Outstanding Discussion Leader Award.


CPE Credit:

Conference qualifies for 4 Accounting & Auditing, and 4 Technical Business hours of CPE credit, subject to approval by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
