Carl J. Pacini, PhD, JD, CPA, CFSA
Carl Pacini is the Marguerite and Guy Howard Professor of Accounting and Business Law at Florida Gulf Coast University, where he teaches auditing, forensic accounting, international accounting and business law courses. In his forensic accounting courses (including Tax Fraud), he has worked closely with the FBI and IRS. He also teaches as an adjunct professor of forensic accounting at Florida Atlantic University in Ft. Lauderdale and the University of South Florida—St. Petersburg. He received his Ph.D. in accounting from Florida State University in 1997 and his law degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1979. He is a Florida CPA, Certified in Financial Forensics and is a member of the Florida Bar. He has made numerous CPE presentations to the FICPA, Georgia Society of CPAs, American Association of Attorney-CPAs, Institute of Internal Auditors and other groups. He has published over 65 articles in various academic and practitioner journals including the Journal of Forensic Accounting, Journal of Accountancy, The CPA Journal, Internal Auditor, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Abacus, the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law and Practical Tax Strategies.
