Circuit Court JudgeEleventh Judicial Circuit of FloridaPERSONAL STATEMENTI worked as an Assistant Public Defender at the Dade County Public Defender’s Office, before accepting a position as an Assistant Federal Public Defender with the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the Southern District of Florida. After seven years at the Federal Public defender’s Office, my desire to serve the public remained strong. In 2004, I was elected to the Circuit Court for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in and for Miami-Dade County. Since my election, I have served in the juvenile (one year), criminal (six years) and civil (six years) divisions of the circuit court. I was assigned to the specialized Asbestos division for two years and I am currently assigned to the civil division as well as the Complex Business Litigation division.
