Michael J. Reed, CFE, CFF, CPA

RGL Forensics

As a forensic accountant, Michael Reed focuses on the quantification of economic damages and the measurement of business damages in areas such as: commercial litigation, eminent domain proceedings and shareholder disputes. He also leverages his business valuation credentials with his work in the family law arena. His past experience as a Revenue Agent with the Internal Revenue Service provides assistance to clients in federal, state and local taxation matters, along with forensic accounting tracing and fraud investigations.

He provides expert witness testimony and consulting services related to:
• Family law
• Commercial damage claims
• Eminent domain
• Shareholder and partnership disputes
• Fraud
• Taxation
• Valuation

Michael’s background working in technology, healthcare, automotive, government, hospitality and others has provided a unique perspective on the importance of data analytics.  Being able to aggregate disparate data sets, analyze that data, recognize the target audience, and create a logical presentation are ways CPAs can separate themselves from the rest.  Embracing and adapting to new technologies are tantamount for continued success.
