Danny is responsible for overseeing the firm’s tax practice. He has significant experience in tax planning, tax compliance, business consulting, and valuation services for a broad range of clients and industries. Danny has a hands-on approach that enables him to speak the client’s language, allowing him to explain complex tax matters using understandable terms. Danny’s practical approach allows him to work efficiently with clients to develop solutions to challenging business issues.
Prior to co-founding Lee & Nieda LLP, Danny was a manager at E.F. Alvarez & Company, P.A., where he specialized in tax and accounting services to construction companies. Danny began his accounting career with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he was a manager in the mergers & acquisitions tax practice in New York City. During his time with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Daniel worked with multinational corporations and private equity firms in the areas of tax due diligence, company restructurings, post-merger integrations, and tax planning for acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to joining the M&A tax practice in New York, Danny worked in the firm’s Miami office, where he provided tax compliance and consulting services to clients in various industries.
Danny’s background and experience, spanning over a decade, uniquely qualifies him to provide solutions to complex tax matters to all types of clients, ranging from individuals to multinationals, and everything in between. Danny is focused on developing tax strategies for his clients and staying on top of the constant changes in the tax law. Danny has previously lectured at accounting industry conferences on various subject matters, more specifically on the taxation of construction companies.
In his free time, Danny enjoys rooting for his beloved Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes along with his wife Maureen, his son Danny and daughter Isabel.
