Ed Pittock, CSA
Ed Pittock founded the Home Care Standards Bureau in 2012 to rate non-medical home care agencies that achieve a very high standard that exceeds state regulations for non medical home care agencies. Mr. Pittock also founded Society of Certified Senior Advisors (SCSA) in 1997, a Denver-based company that trains and credentials professionals who want to serve seniors better. The company’s training encompasses the social, economic and health patterns concerning older adults. Professionals from many walks of life supplement their education, licensing and training with the company’s Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)® designation training. Sensing a need for a comprehensive training program for professionals advising seniors, Mr. Pittock consulted experts including geriatric MDs, gerontologists, elder law attorneys, CPAs, financial planners and others to create Society of Certified Senior Advisors. Since that time, approximately 32,000 individuals have enrolled in the Society of Certified Senior Advisors’ exclusive training. Mr. Pittock has addressed over 50,000 professionals and thousands of seniors on priority senior issues. He has been named Speaker of the Year by the National Society of Accountants and was a delegate to the 2005 White House Conference on Aging. Mr. Pittock has published articles in many senior magazines and professional journals. He served on the board of the Young Presidents Organization. He is a member of the National Council on Aging, the American Society on Aging, the Gerontological Society of America, and Colorado Gerontological Society.
