Cecil "Pat" Patterson, Jr., CPA is an award winning, nationally recognized author, speaker, and discussion leader for continuing education courses and for numerous state societies. Mr. Patterson is the President of Patterson & Associates, P. A. and holds an M. B. A. from the University of North Florida. He has experience at the national CPA firm level and as an adjunct professor at the university level. His firm provides auditing, accounting, consulting and tax preparation. It has been recognized by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) for its work in the "virtual office" field. Mr. Patterson is a member of the FICPA, the AICPA, the FICPA Board of Governors, the FICPA Task Force on Continuing Professional Education, Chairs the A & A Section of the FICPA, the FICPA Common Interest Realty Associations Section Resource Council, and the FICPA Accounting Shows Committee. He is a past member of the FICPA Peer Review Acceptance Committee, and past chair of the FICPA Editorial and CPE committees. He has been named an FICPA Outstanding Discussion Leader and FICPA Outstanding Author. He has also received the New York Society of CPAs' Distinguished Discussion Leader award.
