Congratulations to Allison Harrell, an Audit Senior Manager with Thomas Howell Ferguson in Tallahassee, for being selected to participate in the inaugural AICPA Young CPAs Leadership Academy. Allison will travel to Chicago in July to participate in workshops designed to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to lead organizations to excellence.
The purpose of the Leadership Academy is to provide personal development and leadership training, while instilling a commitment to be involved in the CPA profession’s volunteer organizations. The Academy aims to create a pool of engaged young CPAs who will become future leaders within their organizations, the AICPA, the CPA profession, and other voluntary non-profit organizations.
Allison made her mark early on the FICPA by joining the Young CPAs Task Force as a Charter Member and helping to define and create value for young CPA professionals in Florida. She has also served on the Young CPA Committee and Membership committee, and is a regular participant on the State and Local Government Section and multiple contributor to Florida CPA Today. As chair of the Young CPA Committee for 2008-09, she has done a phenomenal job of leading with purpose.
Congratulations to Allison! |
