Michael Mares provides the updates as of December 31, 2007. A number of new bills came out of Congress in late December and are covered in this week’s podcast. These new acts include:

• Tax Increase Prevention Act of 2007 – Lots of battles on capital hill on this issue and main result was an extension of the alternative minimum tax through end of 2007 without revenue offsets which had been the main sticking point.
• President Bush signed the Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act of 2007 on December 27
• Tax Technical Correction Act of 2007
