Welcome to the Accounting Careers & Students area. This area includes valuable information for students who are interested in the accounting profession, as well as a variety of resource materials for educators and member volunteers!

Educational Foundation

The FICPA’s Educational Foundation provides approximately $200,000 in scholarships annually to fourth- and fifth-year accounting majors enrolled in Florida colleges and universities. Learn more, including how to qualify for scholarships and how to make donations to the Foundation.

Students

Are you thinking about a career in accounting? If so, then enter this area to view information and resources about the accounting profession, learn more about the FICPA’s Student Affiliate Membership, and find out about career-oriented programs such as the Minority Residency Program.

Educators

Are you a Florida high school teacher or guidance counselor? If so, look here to find FICPA members who are available to speak about the accounting profession in your class or at your career-day event. You’ll also find information on our High School Educators Conferences, and accounting and career-related materials to use in your own curricula.

Member Volunteers

The FICPA is looking for volunteers to speak to students about the accounting profession in all of Florida’s 600 public high schools. If you are an FICPA member, please look here to find a listing of schools in your area, as well as a variety of resource materials designed to assist you in making presentations.
