Daniel Mann is an information technology consultant, speaker, blogger, and entrepreneur. He founded and runs Terran Enterprises LLC, an IT consultancy based in Tallahassee providing technology consulting and managed services primarily in Florida and Colorado. Daniel has partnered, contracted, consulted, and worked with a broad range of companies and organizations, including the Florida Department of Health, SAIC, Dell, Microsoft, and HP. His company partners with technology innovators like VMware, Scale Computing, and Veeam, and specializes in managed IT services and infrastructure projects. Before finding the work he loves in technology in the late 90s, Daniel tried out other fields including biological education and research, building swimming pools, and ceramic fine arts. His past and present adventures include cave diving, paragliding, trail running, freestyle climbing, backpacking, and kayaking. Recently Daniel's personal blog at theterran.com was featured on LifeHacker and Hacker News, and received over 18,000 unique visitors on Boxing Day 2012. The site has since been rebooted to focus on how-to articles and technology solutions that Daniel discovers working with his customers.
