Jill D. Baker

Jill D. Baker, CPA, MBA currently serves as the Director of Finance for Laureate Education, Inc., a global provider of over 60 accredited institutions of higher education offering programs to over 740,000 students. In her current role with Laureate, Ms. Baker leads efforts in a number of areas including: strategic planning, acquisition analysis, P&L and cash flow management, capital planning, budgeting and forecasting, and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining Laureate, Ms. Baker was a Senior Vice President for The SC&H Group, LLC, an international CPA firm providing management consulting, corporate finance, accounting and tax services. In this role her areas of expertise included real estate development, financial analysis, strategic planning, business valuations, tax credits and incentives, mergers and acquisitions, and raising capital. Ms. Baker’s previous roles focused primarily on corporate banking and economic development with concentrations in not-for-profit, healthcare, real estate and asset-based lending. Ms. Baker currently serves on The Enoch Pratt Free Library Advisory Council, The Maryland Coalition for Financial Literacy and The Greater Baltimore Committee. She is a frequent lecturer and instructor on topics related to finance, accounting, not-for-profits, real estate and economic development. Ms. Baker was awarded her Master of Business Administration from the University of North Florida Coggin College Business, and is an active Certified Public Accountant in the State of Maryland. She currently resides with her husband in Baltimore, Maryland.
