FICPA Chair of the Board Scott G. Price is the managing director of A-lign CPAs, a national provider of regulatory and compliance services. Price, who joined the FICPA in 1998, is serving his eighth term on the Board of Governors and his sixth term on the Executive Committee. He is chair of the FICPA Finance and Office Advisory Committee and has held chair and vice-chair positions on several other committees. He also has served on numerous sections and task forces. Nationally, Price is an elected member of the AICPA Council, representing Florida for a three-year term. Price was a member of the inaugural class of the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Top 30 business leaders under age 30; the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Top 40 business leaders under age 40; and CPA Technology Advisor’s 40 Under 40 influential CPAs in information technology. He has performed more than 800 SAS 70/SSAE 16 audits and is widely recognized as one of the most experienced SAS 70/SSAE 16 auditors in the world. Price began his career with the Tampa office of Arthur Andersen LLP (Arthur Andersen), where he quickly became a firm-wide resource regarding SAS 70 audits. His SAS 70 clients at Arthur Andersen included telecommunications, financial-services and data-center companies. In May 2002, Price left Arthur Andersen to form SAS 70 Solutions Inc., the first CPA firm to focus solely on performing SAS 70 audits. He served as president of the firm from 2002 to 2009. In 2009, Price joined A-lign CPAs to broaden his service offering by providing cost-effective compliance solutions to companies across the globe. Price has served several terms on the Hillsborough County and West Central Florida Board for Junior Achievement. He lives in Tampa with his children, Brooks and Adriana who attend Carrollwood Day School where he is Chair of the Board of Trustees.
