Dennis G. Kainen


Weisberg Kainen Mark, PL

Dennis G. Kainen has been a partner with Weisberg Kainen Mark, PL since 1985.  Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kainen was an assistant federal public defender for the Southern District of Florida from 1982 to 1985.  He is rated A-V preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, recognized as a Super Lawyer, as a South Florida Legal Guide Top Lawyer in tax litigation and white collar defense, by Florida Trend Magazine as part of Florida's Legal Elite, and recognized by Best Lawyers in America.
A member of the Board of Governors of The Florida Bar since 2006; he is past chair of the Disciplinary Procedure Committee.  He is currently a member of the Disciplinary Procedure Committee and the Board Review Committee on Professional Ethics.  He is also a past president of both the Dade County Bar Association and the South Florida chapter of the Federal Bar Association and served on the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit.
His community involvement has included: being past Florida chair of the Anti­ Defamation League; the recipient of the Dade County Bar Association's Richard C. Milstein Pro Bono Excellence award; the attorney of the year award for the Florida Law Related Education Association; the recipient of the Robert Kanziger Human Rights award of the Anti-Defamation League; and the recipient of the Ronald McDonald House Twelve Good Men award.
Mr. Kainen concentrates his practice in criminal defense and tax matters including civil tax controversy, criminal tax litigation, IRS voluntary disclosure as well as the defense of white collar and financial crimes.
