David L. Dennis, CPA
David L. Dennis is an Advisory Partner in KPMG’s Management Consulting Practice. He is also the Lead Partner for the State of Florida and Georgia. David has 35 years of experience with KPMG and was admitted to the partnership in 1993.
David has been an active leader in the CPA profession over his career. David was appointed by Florida Governor Rick Scott to serve on the Florida Board of Accountancy (BOA) in 2011. He currently chairs the Finance and Budget Committee and sits on the Probable Cause Committee of the BOA and is also a member of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy where he represents NASBA on the joint AICPA/NASBA Uniform Accountancy Act Committee. He served on the AICPA governing Council from 2004 to 2012. He served on the Florida Institute of CPA’s (FICPA) Board of Governors from 1996 to 2011 and served as President of the FICPA in 2007-2008.
He serves as an at large member on the National Catholic Education Association. David has served on the Board of Directors of the Florida Citrus Sports Association since 1993. David holds a CPA license in Florida and is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He earned a B.S. in accounting from Indiana University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
